Moolah Picks

Frequently Asked Questions

Real answers, grounded in exactly how the app actually works — not generic copy.

Is this real money?

No wagering, no. Units only score picks: they have no cash value and can't be deposited, withdrawn, or redeemed, and nothing in the app pays out prizes. The only real payments in Moolah Picks are optional subscriptions (Premium and creator Weekly Locks), never anything tied to a pick's outcome.

What's Moolah, the bot?

Moolah is our AI. It gives its side on the spread, total, and moneyline for every NFL, college football, NBA, NHL, and MLB game, plus the biggest college basketball games. Its Plays are the picks where its data shows a real edge, and only Plays count toward its public record. A Lean is its side on a game, shown but not counted. Its record is public and never edited, win or lose.

Why can't I see someone's Weekly Locks?

Locks stay hidden from the public until they're graded, unless you're an active paid subscriber to that person. Once a Lock is graded — win, loss, or push — it becomes public forever, subscriber or not.

What's a push?

Landing exactly on the number (the spread or total) rather than beating it, or, for a moneyline pick, the game ending in a tie. A push counts as neither a win nor a loss.

What's the difference between Board Picks and Weekly Locks?

Both are made on the Picks tab: select your sides, tap Review Picks, and choose Board Pick or Lock for each one. Board Picks are capped at 30 a week and are public the moment you submit them. Weekly Locks are capped at 20 a week and stay hidden until graded unless someone's an active subscriber to you, which is what makes them worth subscribing to. A Lock can't be on a favorite shorter than -200.

How are records and units tracked?

Every graded pick settles as a win, loss, or push, permanently. Each Board Pick and Lock counts as a 1-unit bet at the price when you submitted it, which gives them both a record and a profit or loss in units. Your profile shows any season or your lifetime record.

What does Premium actually unlock?

Moolah's Weekly Locks and which of its picks are Plays or Leans before games start, Moolah's AI analysis and confidence on every open pick, SHARP tags on Moolah's picks, Play Rules, the deeper Trends filters, the ability to sell your own picks to subscribers, and a 100% ad-free app. Making picks, building a public record, and climbing the leaderboards are free for everyone.

How does following people and the Timeline work?

Follow anyone, and their Board Picks and graded Locks show up in your Timeline feed, newest first. Any graded win at +300 odds or longer also surfaces in the feed automatically, from anyone — you don't need to follow someone to see a genuinely big win.

How are the leaderboards ranked?

There's a Locks leaderboard and a Board leaderboard, on the Picks tab. Both rank by units, with the record beside them, for this season, the last 30 days, or the last 7 days. Moolah Bot is on both. Every 6 months a new season starts and the leaderboards reset, and the winners of each list keep a crown for good. Your lifetime record stays on your profile.

What's on the Tools tab?

Your research desk. Splits shows the share of bets and money on each side of a game. Trends ranks teams by their record against the spread, on overs and unders, and by wins. Lines shows the biggest spread and total moves. My Stats breaks down your own record. Play Rules, for Premium, shows Moolah's current rules with the record and units for each one.

Can I edit or delete a pick after submitting?

No — once submitted, a pick can't be changed or removed. Review it carefully before confirming.

How do I sell my picks?

Selling picks is a Premium feature. Once you're Premium, open the sidebar menu and tap "Sell Your Picks" — that takes you through a short Stripe Connect signup (identity, bank account) so you can actually receive payouts, and once that's done you set your own price and activate your tier. Subscribers still pay entirely through Apple's in-app purchase, never a card form in the app. You can pause selling at any time — existing subscribers keep their subscription at the price they signed up for, completely unaffected, until they personally cancel; pausing only hides your tier from new subscribers.

How much does Moolah Picks take from creator subscriptions?

Apple takes 30% and Moolah Picks takes 15%, so creators keep 55%. It's deducted automatically before you ever see the money — nothing extra charged to subscribers, nothing to invoice.

How do I get paid as a creator?

Subscribers pay through Apple's in-app purchase — never a card form inside this app. Apple remits its share to Moolah Picks, and Moolah Picks pays your share out via Stripe Connect to your bank account. You set up a Stripe Connect account once, just for receiving payouts, when you first go to sell picks.

When and how often do I get paid?

Payouts are processed on the 1st business day of every month for the previous month's earnings, and can take up to 72 hours to arrive in your bank account. If a month's payout would be under $10, it carries forward and combines with the next month's instead of firing on its own. You can see your running balance, active subscribers, and full payout history any time on your Earnings page in the app, or by logging in on the web.
